ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Mayor Buddy Dyer announced a proposed city ordinance Tuesday morning to crack down on gas stations that he said are being very misleading. The Mayor says gas stations near Orlando International Airport don’t display prices for drivers and some drivers don’t even know what they’ve paid until after they’ve filled up.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) — If federal regulators get their way, you may soon be warned before you receive another unexpectedly high bill from your cell phone company.

The Federal Communications Commission said Tuesday it is seeking public comment on proposed regulations that would require wireless phone companies to notify customers of any charges that exceed their monthly plans.

By opening parts of the Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico to oil drilling, the Obama administration wants to tap a huge energy resource that could keep fuel costs in check.

But don’t expect gasoline pump prices to fall anytime soon because of the new drilling.

The offshore areas are located along relatively pristine parts of the U.S. Outer Continental Shelf, a new frontier for oil companies. It could take years before drillers will know how much oil can be pumped from these areas, and when.

BOISE, Idaho – Idaho is leading the charge in a states-rights push to defeat a proposal in Congress that would require people to buy health insurance, a key piece of reforms being pushed by President Barack Obama.

Republican Gov. C.L. “Butch” Otter used a ceremony Wednesday afternoon to become the first governor to sign into law a measure requiring the state attorney general to sue the federal government over any such insurance mandates.

A male student rose to ask a question about Chinese financial contracts with Congo.

The student asked Clinton what President Obama would think of the deal, but pool reporters in the room said the translator made a mistake, posing the question as what would Bill Clinton think.

Clinton looked surprised when she first heard the translation in the headset, and then sharply replied, “You want me to tell you what my husband thinks? WASHINGTON – A leading health care bill under consideration in Congress would cost the government an estimated $1 trillion over the next decade and reduce the ranks of the uninsured by about one-third, or 16 million individuals, congressional budget officials said Monday in a preliminary estimate.

In a letter to Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, D-Mass., Congressional Budget Office Director Douglas W. Elmendorf said the estimate was based on major provisions contained in an incomplete draft of the bill. He noted that “taking all of its provisions into account could change our assessment of the proposal’s effects on the budget and insurance coverage rates though probably not by substantial amounts relative to the net costs already identified.”

A Georgia state senator introduced legislation to limit the number of embryos that can be implanted in a woman’s uterus during in-vitro fertilization procedures.

Sen. Ralph Hudgens, a Republican from near Athens, Georgia, said his legislation was inspired by Nadya Suleman, the woman who said she gave birth to octuplets after being fertilized with six embryos — an unusually high number.
